Mother's Devotional - Day 2

Today's Scripture
Isaiah 40:31
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Devotional
Nothing is harder than praying and waiting on an answer! Even though God answers prayers and fulfills all promises, they’re done on His time table, not ours. Our times are in His hands.

Ruth Graham once said “How often God has said no to my earnest prayers, that He might answer my deepest longings even giving me something more or even something better!” The church father Augustine came to the Lord after many years of waywardness. His mother, Monica, prayed for him unceasingly, once begging God not to let him go to Italy. Augustine went anyway! Guess what? There is where he got saved. Augustine later wrote “Thou taking thy own secret counsel and noting the real point of her desire, didst not grant what she was then asking in order that He may grant her the very thing she wanted most and praying for!” God always knows better what His children need.

Mothers, don’t get discouraged if you have wayward children! Pray as long as you have breath in your body. Our loving Father is listening and working on our behalf! His ways are perfect!
